Umbria is located in the heart of Italy. The river Tiber flows through Umbria and here is the reservoir Lago di Corbara, but this region is not by the sea. It is a region where you are green, gently sloping hills which mainly find grapes- and olive groves. However, there are also many fields of wheat, sugar beets, tobacco and sunflowers. It has a mild Mediterranean climate with dry and sunny and wet summers, cold winters.

In Narni (approx 20 minutes by car) take the train to Rome. You bring this in there 1 hours and it costs € 6,25 (July 2020). Umbria is also a beautiful green province.

By car:
Pomario di Monte Piglio is approx 1550 km from Utrecht.
A car (or rental car) is a very good way to travel through Italy and handy to go to outlying places. The roads in Italy are from a good quality. On the highways is described where the nearest gas station / restaurant, picnic areas are. Keep In mind that you have to pay toll at the Italian highways. The toll can be paid by cash or credit card.

Furthermore, you must be owned by International Insurance certificates known as the green card if you go by car.

A valid driver's license, is necessary.

With the plane:
It is about 1 hour and 55 minutes to Perugia, into the new destination of Transavia 2020 which is flown from Rotterdam. From Perugia it is approx 5 15 minutes drive. We mediate for Transavia. Renting a car is unavoidable, you can also see more of the area.

Pomario di Monte Piglio is a converted farm. There are 3 rooms for rent with breakfast. There are several seating areas outside which you can use. The beds include sheets (changed once a week, unless you want it more often), towels are included (changed every other day if you put them on the floor) and your room is cleaned every other day. All bathrooms have a shower and toilet, the Klimt room also has a bidet.

Room Klimt / ca. 40m² / 1-2 people
This room, named after the Austrian painter, Located on the ground floor, the entrance is next to the reception.
This is a large room with a large circular bed section 2.00 meter, multicolored slate floor, the bathroom has a shower, sink, bidet and toilet. There is a velvet Art Deco sofa, a sofa and walk-in closet, TV with Italian channels. <Br

Camera Dalí / ca.25 m² / 1-2 people
This room is named after the Spanish painter, is located on the first floor and accessible from the large balcony which also provides access to the wellness area.
Room with a 2-person Flou bed (175 × 200 cm) and Italian TV, the floor is green slate and there is cherry wood furniture. There is a Stokke chaisse longue, the entrance door dates from the 18th century.
There is a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.

Magritte room / ca. 20 m² / 1-2 people
This room is the smallest and named after the Belgian surrealist painter. There is a large double bed of 160 × 200 cm on an antique waxed teak floor and furniture from the 20th century. Not really a good seat, you can do this outside. Shower, toilet and washbasin tiled with Rosa Prlino marble. Also located on the 1st floor.
